Dealing with the fear of guns

If we all dig deep into our feelings, at times we come to realize that we fear things we don't entirely understand. That's sort of my outlook when it comes to people and guns. This question of how can we take the fear away from firearms came to mind. I also thought it would be a great topic to talk about on Gunversation.com. If fear comes from not understanding, then what is it that people do not know about guns?

Let me exhale first. There's a big reason why guns are the conversation so many types of people. So much can be spoken about them, from technology to history. I think the first thing people should understand about firearms is the American history that caused them to evolve. Really that's the key to understanding how we came from single action guns to semi and automatic firearms.

"Why the need for automatic weapons for civilians?"

Well......have you ever heard of the American Indian Wars? These groups of small fights happened between 1622 to 1924. The American Indian Wars is the collective name for the various armed conflicts fought by European governments and colonists, and later the United States government and American settlers, against various American Indian tribes.

What happened during this time was evolution in the making. The Indians carried bow and arrows which could be let loose pretty quickly. They were also expert horseback riders known to be able to ride and shoot very well across the plains of early America. So ask yourself this....would you still want to carry that single action gun, or an automatic weapon?
