Where can I buy a NIB Ruger P89?

Someone somewhere has got to have a NIB Ruger P89 for sale. I mean I'll take a very good to excellent condition gun as well. It seems that this popular handgun from the 1990s is starting to fade away from the re-seller's market. Take that as a good thing. Ruger makes great guns, therefore people tend to keep them. You'll know if you own the first batch if your serial number starts with 304-. Ruger's last series ended in 2009. Those guns begin with 316. Click the link to find out when your gun was made.

My love for the gun extends beyond childhood memories. It's actually the first firearm I was able to purchase. Being a resident of Virginia allowed
me to do so legally. It was my 21st birthday, and I purchased the weapon at a local gun show in Richmond, Virginia. Imagine being mentally branded by the hip-hop world to know this gun, without ever seeing it. Thinking back I may have heard the reference to P89 over 10 times in a rap song. Growing up during the '90s was obviously another era in it's right. Glock was around but not as popular as today. They were however this the only "plastic" firearm around at the time. Another thing to note from that decade was the lack of CCW handguns. Point blank most folks understood nothing short of carrying a hefty sidearm.

The Ruger P89 in all of its variations is a perfectly solid firearm. It feels great, shoots even better and can be taken down in just three hand movements. Not unique for it's time. These characteristics along with the heritage and manufacturing skills of Ruger made for a timeless gun. Every person who was into guns in the '90s, knows a P89. It's just that simple. Hence why it's hard for people to let go of them. It's even difficult to find a NIB or very good condition gun model up for sale.

I'm in the market for a Ruger P89DC model. That DC stands for decock only you young bucks. I've signed up for notifications on sites. Budsgunshop has a couple every year. These are usually lightly used guns. I've found the most results by looking at gunbroker.com and gunsamerica.com. My only hesitation to purchase has been based on the serial number. I'd like to find one that starts with 310-53882 and ends with 310-79465. This range of guns were all built between 1996-1997. March 10th is my birthday for your information. Any of you find one you know where to find me.
