Guns in Movies: Wildey 475 Magnum in Death Wish 3

My latest guns in movies review covers the Wildey 475 Magnum, which played a major role in Death Wish 3. I say major role because once Charles Bronson references Wildey, all movie watchers wonder who he's talking about. Well the who becomes a what because when his package is delivered you realize it isn't a person, but a really huge handgun. The Wildey 475 Magnum was designed in 1977 and came into production in 1984. Before it there was the .44 Magnum revolver which claimed the most powerful handgun title.

What stands out to anyone who knows a thing or two about high powered handguns, its that Wildey created a semi automatic pistol. The only other semi-auto handgun with that amount of power is a Desert Eagle. Both handguns hold the same amount of ammunition in their respective magazines. That could be either 7 or 8 rounds.

Wildey closed up shop and stop manufacturing guns in 2011. That have since reopened for business, and have been working hard at fulfilling the many orders they have missed over the years. It's said that every time Death Wish 3 plays on television, sales of Wildey guns increase instantly. I hope they can keep producing weapons. I should be able to afford one of their $2,000.00 guns in about 2 more years. It may be hard to get one from your local dealer so best bet would be to surf the net at gun auction sites. I listed two sites below.
